Origin and involvement levels

DAIU 1.0 combines two dimensions:

  • Origin (Human Made or AI Generated)
  • Involvement level (None, Assist, Remix, Major, Full)

Origin​

  • HM – Human Made
    First substantial draft or base content was created by one or more people.

  • AG – AI Generated
    First substantial draft or base content was created primarily by an AI system.

Involvement levels​

HM · None ​

Human origin with no AI involvement.

HM · Assist ​

Human origin. AI tools used for supportive work such as grammar suggestions, clean up, resizing or minor edits.

HM · Remix ​

Human origin. AI used to transform or remix existing human created material while the person directs the result.

AG · Remix ​

AI origin. People used AI outputs as source and directed additional transformation, blending or adaptation.

AG · Major ​

AI origin. AI systems produced most of the content, with human input focused on prompts, curation or light edits.

AG · Full ​

Content is shown almost exactly as generated by AI with no or minimal human edits.

Examples include:

  • a raw image from a generative model published as is
  • a ChatGPT story posted verbatim
  • an AI generated song released unedited
  • a short AI generated video clip uploaded without changes
